Hi ! I am shyam . I traveled indonesia almost 50 days and covered a huge distance . I am an Indian passport Holder and as usual got my visa on arrival(VOA) in Kualanamu International Airport , Medan . Here I paid 500000 IDR for VOA and got my visa on arrival stamp in my passport . After that I traveled from here to Padang ->Jakarta ->Yogyakarta ->Surabaya ->Makassar. On this journey I have spent almost 20 days and just 8 days before my visa ending date I apply for VOA extension in the kantor immigrasi , makassar . It takes 3 days to get the visa on arrival .

Procedure for visa extension :-
I applied my VOA extension in Kantor imigrasi Kelas 1 Makassar and need only 3 days . On the first floor of this office the visa related work was done . Time and procedure for visa extension may differ a little according to where you apply . Someone say that in Denpasar , Bali you have to come another day for the biometric data collection but in my case in makassar all procedure was done on the same date . Here also you can apply for stay permit .
opening time of the office was 8:00 am to 4 pm from monday to friday.
- First you have to reach any immigration office inside Indonesia with proper documents . In my case documents were Passport , Vaccine certificate and return / onward journey ticket .
- After submitting this documents the immigration officer will call you and given you a bill paper which you have to pay in any bank .
- After that I reached to a nearby bank Mandiri and paid visa extension fees 500000 IDR in the bank
- After that I come back in immigration office and then my bio metric data were captured .
- Next they said that one day after today , you come here and visa extension will be stamped on your passport
- I come on the specified date after 10 : 00 am and got my visa extension stamp on my passport .

Visa Extension can be done on minimum of 7 days before to maximum of 10 days before . It costs 500000 IDR and can be done in any immigration office inside Indonesia and need minimum of 3 days for the process . You will get 30 days visa extension on the VOA .
