I reached Pushkar on 24th February 2022 in the evening 3 pm . It is actually spring time . Weather is very fine and you can enjoy with your t-shirt , not required woolens . After just geiing down in pushkar ,you can see cars which were pulled by Camels . In the body of camel there is different hair cutting design . I just booked a camel car to reach to my Hostel “Doctor Alone “. This camel cars wheel are normal size bus tyre . Height of the seat for this car is pretty high . Easily four people can sit inside the car . But it feels like unstable inside this car .

After a break I started my pushkar travel from Gurjar ghat . It is nearby to my hostel . If you get down to the pavement beside the ghats , you must be bare foot otherwise they will scold you for not following the rules . You have to wear decent dress , they don’t allow shorts inside this compound . Inside the pushkar city religious sentiments are very strong among local people . In the whole city of Pushkar people don’t eat Non-veg items . I was just asking a egg inside a grocessory store in Pushkar . People feel offended by this . Non-veg items are totally banned inside pushkar and even selling . Some consumption happens but not openly . Every traveller must be very carefull about the religious sentiments of the local people .

Amoung the Ghats Bhrambha Ghat and Varaha Ghat are most important beside pushkar lake . By mythology …. sometimes bhrambha’s ( deity for creation in hinduism ) lotus dropped from the heaven to the martya(earth ) . In three places the petals of lotus dropped . On this three places there are sacred lakes . This all places are situated inside the pushkar area .

Around the ghats , I found a interesting temple “Jhule ram baba temple “. Which actually have a connection with our neighbour “Pakisthan”. This saint have been born beside the Sindhu river and the people called ” Sindhi “. They still have connection with pakisthan . The deity is situated inside a cave .

This has been some of temples dedicated to lord Bhrambha . The temple was build in 14 the century but the legends says that it was build by vishyamitra by the order of Bhrambha . Once in a time Martya(Earth) was tortured by Viranabha(Asur) . Seeing this brambha immediately slew him by his weapon . But in the meantime some petals of his Lotus flower fall in the ground . In those places this petals dropped are the holy lakes inside the Pushkar .

Then after Bhrambha come down to earth and planned a yagana . so protect his yagana from demons attack , he made four hills Ratnagiri in south , nilgiri in the north , sanchoora in the west and suryagiri in the east around this lake . Now to start this jayana he needs his wife Saraswati (Savitri) but she was waiting for her companion . Now Bhrambha got agitated and then requested Indra to arrange a suitable girl to marry and start the yagana . At that time Bhrambha got married to devi Gayetri and start the yagana .

In the meantime Savitri come here . seeing this she become furiated and cursed bhrambha to not been worshiped in earth , that is the reason there is very few temple in earth . She also cursed other Gods who helped him . Then he ran in the ratnagiri hill and stayed there since . Though later Gayetri devi diluted the curse by her power .

This is a temple dedicated to godess Saraswati who is the wife of Bhrambhra . The temple is situated in the hill top of Ratnagiri . According to mythology since then Bhrambha made yajana and make the second marriage she stayed in this hill isolated from bhrambha .

As climb to this hill is difficult and it is also a pilgrimage site . So Govt made a ropeway to the savitri temple from the foothills of this hillock . One way cost for the journey is Rs 104 and two way is Rs 153 . It reaches to the top in 5 minutes . By walking it is 1100 steps and require 1 hour to climb to the top . Stairs are very uneven . From the top you can enjoy the panoramic view of the city , canels and the nearby sand dunes . The deity inside the temple is made of marbel rock .
