Pa tong (Phuket) :
Pa tong is a famous beach in the Phuket area . Here you can make parasailing , jet skying , surfing , snorkelling , scuba driving and many more . It is famous for coral diving , hot springs , sea caves , limestone cliffs , kayaking , bird watching and some of the famous marine national parks . Ko Lanta National Park and Phanom Bencha National Park are some of the famous national park in this area . Beaches of krabi are also famous for the sunset points and cloud lightning .
Phi phi island :
Koh Phi Phi is a archipelago consists of six islands situated in the Andaman sea . This place is sitated in a marine national park and one of the most beautiful beach destination in the world with marine life and coral reef . You can also see limestone mountains in this islands . The islands in this archepelago are Koh Phi phi don , Koh Phi phi Leh , Koh mai phai , Koh Yung , Bida nok and Bida nai . Among this islands Koh phi phi don and Koh phi phi Leh are the most popular and have better tourist facility .
Most of the tourist come here for the crystal clear water of the andaman sea , snorkelling and the driving . But you should know that , the sea here is very rough and from the time of may and july this islands are totally closed .
Entry fees for this archipelago is 200 THB for the foreigner and 40 THB for Thai people . For visiting Koh phi phi you mostly have to book a group tour starting from the Phuket Harbour .
Pattaya :
Pattaya city is situated in the Gulf of Thiland . It is famous for the island hopping . Some of the islands can be reached by the shared boat but for some you have to organise your private boat . Some of the famous islands near to the pattaya are Koh Larn , Koh sak , Koh Krok , Koh phai , Koh rin , Koh si chang , Koh samet , Koh kharam and monkey island . In most of the island you can experience the white sand coral beaches but in Pattaya city the sand is yellow .
Pattaya is also famous among the tourists as a party destination with plenty of night clubs , message parlour and adult entertainment . Lots of tourists come here just for this reason .
Ko Samui :
Ko samui is situated under chumphon archipelago in the Gulf of thiland . First habitation traced in the 15 th century by some chines fisherman and until 20 th century it has no connection with the kingdom of thiland . Tourism started coming in this island around 1990 and now one of the major beach destination which is famous for it’s white sand beach coconut trees and rubber trees .
Major tourist point in this islands are Wat phra Yai , Hnta and Hin Yai rock (It is called the grandfather and grand mother rock and is the symbol of fertility) , Na Muang waterfall and Fisherman’s village . This island has beautiful beaches , rubber and coconut garden and also forest in the middle of the island in high mountain . Chaweng beach , Lamai beach are some of the famous beaches in this Island .
Ko pha Ngan :
Koh pha ngan is a island famous for the full moon party and beautiful beaches situated near to the Ko samui island in Gulf of Thiland . Historians belived that human habitat has been present in this island for more than 2000 years and king Rama v have visited this island multiple times . First people from the Malay start inhabiting this island . Fishing and the coconut farming are the major source of income in this island and previously tin mining were present in this island .
Bottle beach , Thong nai pan beach , Haad yao , Mae haad beach and salad beach are some of the major beaches in this island . Beaches , sand dunes and coral reefs are the major tourist attraction in this island . Hin Bai and Samaran are one of the major diving spots in this island . In this island there are also lots of Buddhist temples like Wat Samai kongka , Wat Madeaawan and Wat Chaloklum .
This island is mainly famous for the full moon party and black moon party in the beaches of the Hat Rin Nonk . Minimum 30000 people gathered here under the open sky and loud music were played in the beaches .
Ao Nang :
This beach is situated 20 km from the krabi island and one of the hotspot for the backpackers . It is also famous for it’s pristine water of the Andaman sea , lot’s of spa , rock climbing , kayaking , snorkelling and scuba diving . When diving you can see numerous colourful fishes and coral reef . Famous beaches in Ao Nang are East Rai Le , West Rai Le and Tham phra nang . There were numerous hotels and restaurants situated in this island .
Hua Hin beach :
Hua hin is one of the nearest beach destination from Bangkok and people used to visit this beaches in the week end . This beach is 4 km long and it was called so because of a huge rock at the end of the beach . As in thai language Hua hin means ” Stone head “. In older days King Rama III used to visit this site .
Kite surfing , water skying , banana boat , jet skying and parasailing are some of the favourite adventure sports available here .
