How to reach Champhai ?

Champhai can be reached only by the jeep from the different city in Mizoram . I reached this place by the jeep from the Aizawl city . It almost takes 10 hours to reach and the price is 700 INR . Road is very bumpey in this area and they carry almost everything in this jeep . In my way , I see a motorcycle was tied in the roof of a jeep . I visited this place in December . In this time road is very dusty . When two or more cars run simultaneously ,then almost you can not see anything properly outside except the cloud of dust . Though the luggage were inside the car still it was full of mud dust . Some times you feel breathing difficulty for this . There is no other mode of transport here .

Where to stay in Champhai ?

I stayed in the Champhai government lodge , It was little far from the center of the city but the place was absolute fantastic . The ridge is situated in a ridge and there was lots of big trees beside the lodge . There was no disturbing sound and the place was totally peacefully . I stayed in the dormitory bed and It was just 200 INR /per night . There was a nepali cook , only who know little hindi . You can get the food in the canteen in a very affordable rate .

Rather than this there is some hotels near to the jeep stand .
