Chittagong city is situated in the Eastern part of the Bangaladesh and it is the biggest port in Bangladesh . It is one of the oldest port around the Indian sub-continent . Historians belive that in 4th century BC it traded with greeks . chittagong city is situated beside the river karnaphuli .It is a industrial and business city but it has some of the beautiful hill places in bangladesh . In this place you can enjoy both the Mountain and the sea togeather . There is also some religious places and monuments of the World war 2 . So combinely it is a tourist places for all tourists .

This cemetery is dedicated for those soilders who died in the second world war during 1941- 1945. This area has all togeather 700 graves and above that a white stone reflecting the indivisual graveyard .
This graveyard is managed and maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) . This place attracts the history lovers and the family members of those people who lost their lives in this war .
ethnological museum :
This museum has been my favourite area in chattogram . It represents the lifestyle of the different etheic group in chittagong hill tracts like manipuri , tripuri , chakma and many more . You can see life size models which shows their dress code , music , religious festivals , everyday lifestyle and cuisines . It also have sections which represents the tribal life in america and Australia which are later .
It was established in the year 1965 but opened in the year 1974 . It is opened between 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Everyday .
bayazid bostami mazar:
It is the religious place for the Islamic people . This place has been made in the rememberance of bayazid bostami who was a islamic sufi saint from iran in 10 th century . Some historians also belive that he never came to bengal But it was dedicated to that revered sufi saint .
Beside this place there is a large pond . You can see lots tortoise inside this pond . The tortoise’s skin is very soft .People give food from the Ghat’s of this pond and lots of tortoise come here . You can touch those tortoises . This tortoise are there for more than 100 years .
Patenga Sea Beach Chattogram:
Patenga is one of the important tourist destination near to the city chattogram . It is situated 20 km from the chattogram main city . It is near to the chattogram port .
It is a local beach where people relax and enjoy the sunset in the bay of bengal . There were lot’s of food stalls situated in the beach side where people can enjoy with family .
chandpura Masjid:
It is ne of the oldest and prominent mosque in chattogram . It is belived that this mosque was build in 17 th century in Mughal Architecture . This mosque has three domes and teracotta design in the walls . It is a green colored mosque having unique design and staircase .
karnaphuli river cruise:
This is the river just beside the city chattogram .This river starts from the hills of the manipur and submerged in the Bay of Bengal .
In this river cruise you can view the beautiful chattogram city from the boats and the village life after the boats crosses te city section . Some boats have music and entertainment options . Specially in the evening time this boats cruise are made .
cheragi pahar:
Cheragi pahar is the art and cultutal hub of the chattogram city .In Bengali cherag means lamp . In older days this place has been illuminates by the oil lamp . In this place there is numerious cafes and food stalls where the students and the intellictual persons gathered .
Numerious religious as well cultural events are celebrated in this place .
kaibalyadham chittagong:
Kaibalya dham is a hindu religious , meditation and spiritual place in this city . The actual temple is in the top of a hillock . There is beautiful gardens and small farm inside this temple compound .
This place have been very peaceful and from the top of this temple you have beautiful glimpse of the surrounding planes . This is one of the biggest Hindu temple in Chattogram .
ISKCON Chittagong:
This temple has been situated 18 km from the chittagong city and one of the spiritual place for the Hindus . This is a beautiful marvel covered ISKON temple which has branch all over the world .
Summary:
Chattogram is one of the biggest city and largest port in Bangladesh . Nothing much tourism exist here inside the city but in the nearby Hill station there is some tourist place like Rangamati and Kaptai lake and you can see the combination of the different tribes . Some population of this tribes situated in India where the other part is situated in Bangladesh . My favourite place in this city are the “Ehonological Museum ” which shows the lifestyle about this tribes . This and shylet are the only hill parts of Bangalesh . Other than that it is a flat land .
